Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical devices using hand tools and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Troubleshoot issues; repair or replace faulty components with precision.
- Carry out carpentry tasks including drywall repairs, door/window adjustments, and maintenance painting to uphold property aesthetics.
- Handle projects involving welding, electrical work, or building interior upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident maintenance requests and communicating clearly about repair timelines.
- Support team efforts in maintaining safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or facilities maintenance with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system troubleshooting and repair, and carpentry skills.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, and the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints confidently.
- Strong communication skills for effective resident interaction and team collaboration.
- Certifications related to electrical work or HVAC systems are advantageous; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
